O Compound Governance Token é um token de governança no protocolo de empréstimos Compound Finance. COMP permite que o proprietário delegue direitos de voto para o endereço de sua escolha: a carteira do proprietário, outro usuário, um aplicativo ou um especialista em DeFi. Qualquer pessoa pode participar da governança do Compound ao receber delegação, sem precisar possuir COMP. Qualquer pessoa com 1% de COMP delegado ao seu endereço pode propor uma ação de governança; estas são ações simples ou complexas, como adicionar suporte para um novo ativo, alterar o fator de colateral de um ativo, alterar o modelo de taxa de juros de um mercado ou alterar qualquer outro parâmetro ou variável do protocolo que o administrador atual possa modificar.
