Chainlink é a rede de oráculos descentralizada padrão da indústria que resolve o 'problema do oráculo' conectando smart contracts a dados do mundo real. Blockchains não podem acessar informações externas por conta própria, então a Chainlink atua como uma ponte segura, permitindo que smart contracts reajam a eventos do mundo real usando dados verificados e à prova de adulteração. É amplamente considerada uma das primeiras redes de oráculos descentralizadas e é líder de mercado em trazer dados off-chain para on-chain. A plataforma opera através de uma rede descentralizada de nós que buscam, validam e entregam dados a smart contracts. Quando um contrato solicita informações como um preço de ação, um comitê de nós independentes recupera e agrega os dados para chegar a um consenso, e então entrega uma única resposta confiável. A Chainlink oferece um conjunto de serviços incluindo Data Feeds para preços de ativos, CCIP para transferências de tokens e mensagens entre cadeias, Automation para acionar funções de smart contracts, e Proof of Reserve para verificar a colateralização de ativos.
