Serguei Popov is a co-founder of IOTA and holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Moscow State University. Along with Sergey Ivancheglo, David Sønstebø, and Dominik Schiener, he co-founded IOTA and is responsible for the theoretical and conceptual work.
