Co-Founder at Syndicate
Ian Lee is the Co-Founder at Syndicate and formerly Managing Director of IDEO CoLab Ventures and General Partner at Digital Asset Investment Company. He focuses on blockchain technology, distributed ledgers, digital currencies, and Bitcoin. Previously, he was the head of Citi's Global Lab Network and led Citi's Blockchain Accelerator. He worked with Citi's innovation labs, venture investing team, business unit executives, and strategic partners to pursue important growth opportunities for Citi that required deep relationships, coordinated investment, and open collaboration. Ian also helped lead Citi's investments and activities in blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. Ian brings more than ten years of experience in strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship to Citi Ventures. Before joining Citi Ventures in , he helped build the global innovation organization at Deloitte, a $B professional services firm. He co-founded two startups, including a communications app and social enterprise, and spent more than six years as a management consultant at Monitor-Deloitte. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and double bachelor degrees in Design Media Arts and Economics from UCLA.
