Jae Kwonはブロックチェーンソフトウェアアーキテクトであり、Tendermintの共同創業者、Interchain Foundationの会長です。コーネル大学でコンピュータサイエンスの学士号を取得後、シリコンバレーでプロフェッショナルデベロッパーとして働き、AlexaやYelpではモバイルアプリケーション開発チームを率いました。また、生産性サービスiDoneThisを共同創業しました。Jaeは、Javascriptで書かれたCoffeeScriptコンパイラ/インタプリタ、エンドツーエンド暗号化メールシステムScramble.io、暗号通貨取引所など、数多くのオープンソースプロジェクトに取り組んできました。これらのプロジェクトはcryptopunkハッカー精神に触発され、最終的に現在のTendermintでの仕事につながりました。2014年、JaeはTendermintプロジェクトを創設し、Ethan BuchmanやZarko MilosevicとともにTendermintコンセンサスアルゴリズムと実装をさらに洗練させ、ブロックチェーンをproof-of-workマイニングのコストと欠点から解放する ことを目指しました。彼の使命は、この技術をよりアクセスしやすくし、分散型台帳技術の採用を加速することです。
