Heliumは、物理的なブロックチェーンによって支えられた分散型マシンネットワークです。ネットワークは、当ネットワーク上のマイナーも兼ねるゲートウェイによって作成されます。これらのゲートウェイオペレーターは、提供するカバレッジに基づいてトークンを獲得できるほか、自身のゲートウェイに接続するマシンから得られるトランザクション手数料も得られます。 Heliumは新しい暗号通貨です。ホットスポットは、ワイヤレスカバレッジを提供および検証し、ネットワーク上のデバイスがホットスポットを通じてインターネットに接続することで報酬を得ます。 Heliumは採掘され、Hotspot所有者、Helium Inc、および投資家に分配されます。 Heliumのプレマインはなく、毎月約5,000,000の新しいHeliumがミントされます。 各マイニング期間の終了時（約30～60分ごと）に、Heliumは以下に示す割り当てに従って分配されます。
